We Wany You at Harriman! 300 Sunday Sunday, September 24, 2000 9:00 am & 11:00 am (& 9:50 for Sunday School) I'd like you to come and join us on Sunday, September 24th. I promise: 1) The sermon won't be boring! It will be interesting and entertaining and offer practical advice for daily living. 2) We won't pass an offering plate. 3) We'll be friendly, but we won't embarass you. (You'll get a warm personal greeting, but nobody will make you stand up and introduce yourself.) There will be a whole bunch of other people that day and you'll be able to blend into the crowd if you choose. 4) You can sit anywhere in our auditorium (that's "sanctuary" for those who prefer churchy-talk) and nobody will tell you that it's their seat. 5) You can choose between casual and upbeat (our 9:00 am service) or more traditional (our 11:00 am service). 6) If you go to another church already, we're not trying to steal you away permanently. In fact, we encourage you to go to your regular church this day also. We'll have beverages and other refreshments. There is a Sunday School for all ages at 9:50 am. Nursery care will be available during both worship services. I'd love to have you join us for it! ========== Saturday, August 12 11:00 am GO TUBING THIS SATURDAY! (August 12th!) Call the church office (215-788-3059) by Wednesday (August 9) to make your reservation. We'll meet in front of the church building at 11 am and drive up to Point Pleasant for four hours of tubing down the Delaware River. Cost is $17/pp + $3/car parking charge. Options for lunch & drinks include: 1) Eating before you leave. 2) Bringing a lunch to eat at Point Pleasant before we go on the river. 3) Buying lunch from The River Hotdog Man on the river. Bucks County River Country does not permit you to take food with you on the river. You may also not take your own drinks, although you may bring a thermos and pay them to fill it. Mark your calendars for Tuesday evening, September 12 at 7:00 pm. That night we'll begin offering C.L.A.S.S. 101. That's Christian Life And Service Seminar 101, entitled "Discovering Church Membership". This will serve as our new members class, but all members of our congregation are encouraged to attend. Why? 1) To be sure you know the same basics our new members know. 2) To share in some of the foundation principles of our church. 3) To share in the vision of what our church is becoming. 4) C.L.A.S.S. 101 is the first in a series of classes designed for you to aid you in your spiritual growth and in finding your God-given ministry. ======= Sunday, September 17 6:00 pm CONFIRMATION IS COMING! Confirmation class begins Sunday, September 17 at 6:00 pm. It is open to all youth who have completed 6th grade. Please contact the office ASAP if you wish to be confirmed. Parents or guardians of the youth in confirmation class are required to attend the first class meeting.
